Warning! Contains a first look at Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi #4
Star Wars is giving Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker their own Apocalypse Now. Revealed through Marvel's new solicitations for August, the upcoming fourth issue of the Obi-Wan Kenobi comic will see Obi-Wan reflecting on his life during his exile on Tatooine, recalling a dark experience he shared with his former Padawan during wartime. As such, it will be exciting to see what parallels might be featured as the two Jedi attempt to bring a man back from the "heart of darkness."
Currently, Marvel's new Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi series from Christopher Cantwell has only released its first issue, which was illustrated by artist Ario Anindito. Trapped during a vicious sandstorm, Obi-Wan decides to write in a series of journals detailing his past. For example, the first issue sees Obi-Wan looking back on his life as a youngling living in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. However, each issue will move forward in time sequentially as the series catches up to Kenobi's present, hiding from the Empire while watching over young Luke Skywalker.

Case in point, Marvel's August solicitations posted by AIPT have revealed the new cover art and details for Obi-Wan Kenobi #4 from Cantwell and artist Madibek Musabekov. Taking place during the Clone Wars, this new issue will reveal a time when Obi-Wan and Anakin weren't leading Republic troops into battle and were instead sent to confront a man from Obi-Wan's past. Given the jungle river cover art featuring clone trooper heads on spears, along with the synopsis featuring the words "heart of darkness," it's clear that the issue will be a homage to Francis
