Splatoon 3 is still a few months away, but Nintendo is not keeping quiet on what fans can expect. For the past couple of weeks, Nintendo has revealed several bits of information regarding the shooter including a potential villain and customizable options. Now, the developer is showing off one of the new multiplayer stages coming to the paint-propelling title.
The North American Splatoon Twitter posted a first look at a new map for Splatoon 3 called Mincemeat Metalworks. The tweet, which includes a video slideshow showing off various angles of the industrial-looking map, shares some in-game lore concerning the facility.

“Squid Research Lab here with a meaty discovery – this is rare imagery of a new multiplayer stage: Mincemeat Metalworks! The facility was made FROM scrap metal in order to make MORE scrap metal. Also, there was a sea here that evaporated. Surely unrelated to heavy industry!”
The map appears to be a bit brutal for a game about splattering colorful paint on your enemies. Mincemeat Metalworks appears to be out in the dusty open and surrounded by rusted metal infrastructure. As the tweet notes, the area was once a large body of ocean that has evaporated, leaving behind a rusty, sandy wasteland. Sounds like the world of Splatoon has seen better days.
This is not the first reveal for the upcoming title that Nintendo has released into the world. A few weeks ago, it was revealed that Off The Hook will be making a return in the third installment.
