Splatoon 3 gets September release date and new trailer

Nintendo has confirmed that Splatoon 3 will be released on September 9, 2022.
The release date announcement was accompanied by a new trailer for the game, which is viewable below.
It features over three minutes of footage of Splatoon 3’s online 4-v-4 Turf War battles.
The online mode will include a mix of new and returning stages, where teams are challenged to cover the most ground in their ink.
The latest footage includes a look at a new stage, Eeltail Alley, and a fresh weapon called the Stringer which lets players release ink sideways and vertically.
Beginning today, Nintendo has also added Splatoon 2’s Octo Expansion DLC to Switch Online’s Expansion Pack membership tier.
