PlayStation announced plans to merge PS Plus and PS Now into one three-tier service earlier this year. Before you know it, the new system will have been implemented. Subscribers in Asia will be the first to take the new PS Plus for a spin when it launches in the region on May 23. PS Plus and Now users in Asia have already started to receive emails about what to expect, including when additional games will be added to certain tiers of the new service.
According to one of the emails, reported on by PushSquare, those who subscribe to PS Plus Extra and Premium will get new PS4 and PS5 games every month. “New games will be added to the Game Catalogue every month while others may leave the service,” the email reads. A similar setup to Xbox Game Pass which receives new titles every month, but also sees some games leave the service at the same time to make way.

The initial reveal of the new PS Plus revealed subscribers to those higher tiers will have access to a catalogue of up to 400 PS4 and PS5 games. It's unclear whether that many games will be available from day one, or if that number is the goal Sony aims to hit over time. Premium subscribers will also have access to a number of games from older consoles dating all the way back to the PS1.
The frequency at which games from older consoles will be added to PS Plus Premium is yet to be revealed. The email cited above only makes mention of the rate at which PS4 and PS5 games will be added to the service. It's entirely possible the PS1, PS2, PS3, and PSP libraries added when the service launches will not be added to over time.
