Sony has confirmed a partial list of games that will be made available as part of its revamped PlayStation Plus subscription service, which is due to launch in Asia next week.
PS Plus’s new Extra and Premium tiers will include a library of PS4 and PS5 games that will include Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Demon’s Souls, Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut, NBA 2K22 and more, Sony said on Monday.
In addition, the platform holder confirmed some of the PSOne and PSP games coming to its Premium tier. First-party titles include Ape Escape, Hot Shots Golf and Syphon Filter, and third-party games include Mr. Driller and Tekken 2.
Sony notes that the list of games released on Monday (which can be seen below this article) contains “a selection” of games planned for the service. It previously said the PS Plus Premium tier would include a library of over 700 games, including 400 downloadable PS4 and PS5 titles.
According to Sony, select PSOne and PSP games will sport a new user interface with menus that allow users to save their game at any time, or rewind gameplay.
Also, players who have previously purchased the digital version of games from the original PlayStation and PSP generation will not have to make a separate purchase or sign up to PlayStation Plus to play these titles on PS4 or PS5, it said.
“When these titles are released for PS4 and PS5, players can head to PlayStation Store and download a version for the consoles at no extra cost if they already own the digital version of the title. Some of the titles will also be available for individual purchase.”
Additionally, some remastered classics from previous console generations will be added to the PlayStation Plus Premium/Deluxe plan, such as Siren and Jak 2.
