A new report indicates that in addition to Cal Kestis, the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order may also feature a brand-new playable character. Rumors about the Fallen Order follow-up entry have swirled for the last couple of years but especially began to pick up steam within the last several months. This is due in some small part to the expectation that Electronic Arts and Lucasfilm Games will formally announce Fallen Order 2 during Star Wars Celebration, an event slated for May 26 through May 29.
One rumor that recently made the rounds suggests the sequel will hit store shelves sometime in 2023, which will allow EA and developer Respawn Entertainment to release the project exclusively on PC and current-gen PlayStation and Xbox hardware. VentureBeat journalist Jeff Grubb claimed as much in an episode of Giant Bomb's GrubbSnax podcast, wherein he also reported that Fallen Order will not constitute the new game's subtitle. Weeks later in episode 46 of the same podcast, Grubb told listeners Cal Kestis' next adventure may bear the title of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Now, yet another piece of speculation may shed light on what EA and Respawn have in store for their next Star Wars-centric outing.

In the May 13 episode of GamesBeat Decides, Jeff Grubb said that, as far as he knows, Star Wars Jedi's Cal Kestis will remain the main protagonist in the new game.
