A talented web artist has recently posted an impressive Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered screenshot that could easily pass for a movie poster or comic book cover. Insomniac’s open-world take on the Spider-Man mythos has earned critical acclaim for many reasons, including solid web-swinging transversal gameplay and an emotional plot that masterfully reflects on Spidey’s classic themes of power and responsibility with a modern slant. Marvel’s Spider-Man also had impressive graphics when it first launched on the PlayStation 4 in 2018, and this was enhanced further in the subsequent Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered for the PlayStation 5, to the point that some fans have mistaken screenshots for real-life cosplay.
The impressive graphics are most apparent in Marvel’s Spider-Man’s Photo Mode, which allows players to take vivid and humorous pictures of Spidey in action during standard gameplay. Some creative users have taken advantage of this feature to reenact classic Spider-Man movie moments from films like Spider-Man 2 and The Amazing Spider-Man or recreate game art for past Spider-Man games like 2010’s Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. One fan even designed a poster for Spider-Man: No Way Home that was created using the many alternate movie costumes players can wear to fight crime and explore the streets of New York City in Marvel’s Spider-Man.
