The incredibly talented Marvel Comics artist Mark Brooks recently released an unused design for a Mary Jane statue that showed her trying on Spider-Man's iconic Iron Spider costume. Mary Jane has herself worn the Iron Spider suit, and with the fiery red hair that she is famous for, the gold and crimson Iron Spider armor is absolutely perfect on her.
The Iron Spider armor was first introduced as a gift from Tony Stark to Peter Parker during the original Civil War event, and while fans and teammates were divided about the technologically advanced suit, many people loved the sleek design and Iron Man-esque inspiration. The Iron Spider suit regained popularity after it was first worn by Peter Parker in the MCU's Avengers: Infinity War film, allowing Spider-Man to survive in space as he went after Doctor Strange with Iron Man.

Sharing the truly gorgeous unused design on Twitter, Mark Brooks reported that the idea behind the status was that Mary Jane was in Spider-Man's room "trying on Spider-Man's various costumes and finally settling on Iron Spider." He went on to say that the statue would have included a working mirror behind MJ so that all angles of the Iron Spider suit could be seen when viewing the statue from the front. Mark Brooks has designed several Marvel statues for Sideshow Collectibles, so it is safe to assume that this Mary Jane statue was at one point commissioned by Sideshow, but for some reason or another never made it to production. Illustrated in Brooks' classic style, Mary Jane is admiring just how absolutely iconic she looks in the Iron Spider armor, as Parker's classic red-and-blue Spider-Man suit lays in a pile on the floor.
