Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has been delayed once again, this time to June 2, 2023. Fans will now have to wait more than a year until it releases, but more information and content was shared at CinemaCon this week, such as the movie including 240 characters and six different universes. Further, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’s sequel, which was previously titled «Part 2,» has now been renamed Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.
Because there are 240 characters in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, it would not be out of the realm of possibility to believe characters from Marvel’s Spider-Man could appear. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2will undoubtedly feature character skins for Peter Parker and Miles Morales that are inspired by the movie. Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is also currently scheduled for a 2023 release, and now that these release dates are closer to one another, it could bode well for how each is marketed in collaboration.

If Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 comes out before Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, inspired suits could be introduced as a part of one or multiple post-launch DLC expansions, assuming it will have DLC. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse released on December 18, just before Marvel’s Spider-Man’s Silver Lining DLC on December 21, so the addition of Peter B. Parker’s classic suit was a well-timed.
Marvel's Spider-Man's The City That Never Sleeps DLC arrived in three episodes, with Silver Lining being its third and final entry, so it was especially pertinent to have an Into the Spider-Verse skin included.
