Venom's voice actor, Tony Todd, has revealed that Spider-Man 2 was originally going to include scenes where Miles Morales was wearing a Symbiote suit, but that they got cut from the final game.
Although Spider-Man 2 mostly focuses on Peter and Harry's experiences with the Symbiote suit, they aren't the only characters in the game that end up being taken over by the gooey alien. Not only does MJ wear a Symbiote and get turned into Scream, but half of the citizens of New York City also end up becoming vessels in the final hours of the adventure.
That's already a lot of people suddenly getting black tendrils and snarling voices, but it seems that it was going to go even further at one point in the game's development, as Venom's voice actor, Tony Todd, has revealed that Miles Morales was originally going to wear the suit at some point in Spider-Man 2.
As pointed out by Twitter user EvanFilarca, this interesting removal was confirmed by Tony Todd when he made an appearance at Fan Expo San Francisco. During a panel that featured him and Miles Morales' actor, Nadji Jeter, Todd detailed some of the things that he worked on for the game that ended up being removed.
Although Miles doesn't canonically come into contact with the Symbiote suit in Spider-Man 2, he does have several costumes that show what that would look like, such as the Dark Ages and Absolute Carnage suits.
According to Todd, only 10 percent of the dialogue that he recorded for Spider-Man 2 actually ended up being used in the game, including lines for a scrapped scene that had Miles taken over by the Symbiote.
