The Chao Garden from Sonic Adventure 2, the best thing to ever happen to the Sonic series, is full of neat little features. Most of us remember it for the time we spent caring for the adorable little creatures - or lobbing them into walls if we wanted them to be evil. Weird system.
But as it turns out, it actually has another gimmick that none of us knew about, even more than two decades after the game launched. As some players have just found out, Chaos have a ridiculously small chance of getting sick. In an event that is rarer than finding a shiny Pokemon, your Chao can get a rash, a cold, a stomach ache, or some other form of illness, and require a visit to the doctor..

The discovery was shared on ResetEra, alongside a video showing what the signs of illness look like in Chaos.
In an event that is, for some reason, a one in 6000 occurrence, Chaos can be found sneezing, itching a rash, coughing, and clutching their stomach. Despite it being so rare that fans who have played the game for years (myself included) have never seen this, there's a ridiculous amount of variation with the sickness animations, and even the treatments your Chao will be given in the health centre.
It makes sense that this is a feature. The Chao doctor has the option to perform checkups, but this usually finds nothing. If a Chao falls ill, however, he will give you some medicine - which even has different models depending on the sickness, for some reason. Sega really threw its all at the Chao garden.
