The next-gen patch for the original Dying Light game is now available to Xbox Series X/S owners.
The patch was released on PlayStation 5 on March 8, with developer Techland promising that it would be coming to Xbox soon.
The studio has now tweeted that the Xbox version is now available, meaning Series X and S owners can now enjoy performance boosts.
Xbox Series X owners will now have access to three video modes, while Series S and Xbox One X owners have access to two.
The new performance modes are as follows:
Xbox Series X
Xbox Series S / Xbox One X
The new video modes added to the Xbox Series X version are, on paper, identical to those added to the PS5 version earlier this month.
While this new patch attempts to breathe new life into the original Dying Light, Techland also released a major Dying Light 2 update for consoles last week.
As well as adding a lengthy list of fixes and improvements for both PlayStation and Xbox systems, the patch also adds new video modes for the Xbox versions.
These include a new Balanced Mode that runs in 60 FPS for Xbox Series X, and the addition of Xbox Series S game modes including Performance Mode that runs in 60 FPS.
VGC’s Dying Light 2 review called the game an uninspiring adventure saved by excellent parkour.
In January, Dying Light 2’s Switch release was pushed back significantly, with Techland now planning to deliver the game within six months of the other versions.
