A free update arrives for the classic Spookypasta-themed game.
By Grace Benfell on
Blue Isle Studios has dropped a free update for the 10th anniversary of Slender: The Arrival. The update is essentially a remake, as Blue Isle has entirely redone the game in Unreal Engine 5. The updates also adds a new playable chapter.
This new chapter, entitled Nightmare, follows Charlie Matheson's father, whose vanished child is a key character in the base game. The new chapter is the first of more to come, though Blue Isle has not shared any details on what those chapters will concern or whether they will be free, like this update is. A multiplayer roadmap and a cross-platform mod kit (supported by CurseForge and Overwolf) are set to arrive sometime in 2024. A sequel called S: The Lost Chapters is in production, with no release date as of yet.
