Pearlfish is an ingredient in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim introduced in the Fishing add-on of Anniversary Edition. The fish can be used in several Alchemy recipes and is also a part of Skyrim's fishing questline. However, finding Pearlfish isn't easy, as its natural habitat is secluded within the land's remote northern region. Additionally, players may not even encounter it on their first fishing trip in Skyrim because of the Pearlfish's rare spawn, particularly at night.
Besides its required quest, Skyrim's Pearlfish is sought after due to its valuable alchemic properties and beneficial lack of any harmful qualities. Once players catch a Pearlfish, they can consume it to learn its first effect, Restore Stamina. The Pearlfish can be potentially combined with 50 other ingredients to produce the additional three effects: Resist Frost, Fortify Smithing, and Fortify One-handed. These four traits of the Pearlfish are immensely useful. In particular, Fortify One-handed and Restore Stamina can be combined within a potion perfect for sword, axe, mace, or even dagger users.
