The Savior's Hide is the Daedric Artifact of Hircine in Skyrim, and one of two possible rewards for completing his associated questline. Hircine is the Daedric Prince of the Hunt, and his Oblivion Plane, called the Hunting Grounds, is a neverending sport of predator and prey where his most fervent supporters go to enjoy an eternity of bloodlust (or an eternity of being chased and killed).

The Savior's Hide has not been seen in other Elder Scrolls games and is wholly unique to Skyrim. Though the armor doesn't give the Dragonborn any special new powers, it nonetheless has great passives that an early-game Light Armor user can make good use of, and it's one of the only Magic-resistant unique items in all of Skyrim.
The Savior's Hide is a piece of chest armor that can be improved with Leather, though players need to have leveled Smithing enough to have the Ebony Smithing perk as well. It has decent armor stats at a base 26 Armor Rating, but its real draw is its passives.

The Savior's Hide increases a player's Magic Resistance by 15% and their Poison Resistance by 50%. This effectively blunts all incoming magic damage and halves all poison damage. Though maximized Enchanting outclasses these benefits, it can be useful because it's one of the few armors that comes with the Resist Magic effect already on it.
The Savior's Hide is one of two possible rewards for completing the quest «Ill Met By Moonlight».
