The anniversary edition of Skyrim adds a plethora of new quests to partake in and items to collect. For a game that’s over a decade old, it’s nice to see some new things to try and keep the journey fresh for a bit. One of the new additions to Skyrim is a variation on the great Daedric armor available, that being Daedric Mail armor.

This armor set is light armor that consists of three pieces: the body, gauntlets, and boots. This means that it’s not just warriors that specialize in heavy armor that can benefit from its great stats. Plus, you can get the armor pretty early on in the game if you do a certain quest (more on that later).
Before you can try and get the armor, you need to have either the anniversary update purchased or the creation club item installed. There is no way to get Daedric mail armor without one of these two things. Once you do though, there are two different ways of acquiring the set.
The first way you can get Daedric Mail is by crafting it. In order to be able to do this, you first have to make sure you have a smithing skill of 90 and the perk that enables you to craft Daedric weapons and armor.
It’s a job that takes a really long time to reach, but it is definitely worth it. Once you get the necessary perk and skill level, you will need to acquire the correct amount of materials for each piece of the armor.
If you don’t want to undergo the harder way of getting Daedric mail armor in Skyrim, there is an easier and quicker way. That option is to complete the Missing Merchant quest.
