The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim has been adored by gamers since its release, but many players have found themselves wishing for some kind of multiplayer version for just as long. Exploring the world of Skyrim with a friend (or several) has been nothing but a dream for a long time, but now that the Skyrim Together Reborn mod has launched, it's become a legitimate possibility.
While there were a few separate attempts to bring Skyrim to multiple players, the Skyrim Together Reborn mod has been received extremely well thus far. Just 24 hours into its launch, Skyrim Together Reborn had already hit 50,000 downloads. Those players are now discovering some interesting things about the game, including an easy way to grind skills.
Skyrim Multiplayer Mod Is Now Out
In normal Skyrim gameplay, players can raise their skills and level up overall. Raising skills is easy; all players need to do is to put them into practice. Swinging a sword, for example, raises the player's skill with one-handed weapons. Players regularly receive skill points for every little thing they do, but once Skyrim Together Reborn is installed, players don't have to seek out an enemy to raise these skills. Instead, they can turn to their co-op partners.
A video shared by VitalityWolf5 on the Skyrim subreddit demonstrates how it's done. Two players can be seen standing in front of one another, repeatedly hitting each other with their weapons. Neither hits the other to the point of death, but each are gaining skill points as they take their swings. Since neither player is attempting to dodge, flee, or poses a real threat to the other, raising their weapon skill is significantly easier.
