Tony is one of three sons-in-law to Kody and hasn't always been known as the perfect husband. Tony was also born in Utah and grew up in St. George, like his wife. The newest reality star also had his own history with religion, and while he wasn't raised Mormon or in a polygamous family, he did have quite the journey. Tony was raised in a strict Catholic family but converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when he was 17. The spiritual journey is what many fans feel connected him to Mykelti.

Since Sister Wives season 16 ended, fans have been seeing a lot of Tony's wife, Mykelti, but not so much of the father of one. Mykelti has been openly supportive of her mother, Christine, who left her 25-year marriage to Kody in November of 2021. Tony has mainly kept to himself and hasn't posted anything on his Instagram since April 2021. The last photo Tony snapped was of his daughter, Avalon, in her bassinet. As far as work goes, fans learned that Tony had quit his job with a bank before the COVID-19 pandemic and now works from home with video game streaming.
