Redditor CrafterWong shared a photo of the simplified 3D paper versions they made of Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly. Each figure features a small body, a large head, and stubby limbs to evoke the chibi aesthetic of the classic in-game Pokemon graphics. The result is three adorable freestanding sculptures that manage to incorporate a surprising level of detail despite being made entirely out of paper. Each figure features a number of printed-on details, but the form of the Pokemon is created through clever folding techniques.
CrafterWong is very talented, but they do appear to have taken some creative liberties with the designs of this starter trio. In the photograph, a tiny Sprigatito is shown with straight cheek fluff to accommodate for the fact that paper doesn't tend to bend nicely. Fuecoco's figure focuses so much on its head that the Pokemon's feet appear to have disappeared entirely, though fans may find that this doesn't impact the creature's cuteness much.
