Kody Brown moved his family with a promise of living on Coyote Pass, but the division of assets strikes Sister Wives fans as odd. Since leaving Las Vegas to make their move to Flagstaff, the Brown family has been in disarray. The polygamous family is more fragmented than ever, and a lot of the drama is centered around the shared desert land.
The large family has had a hard couple of years mainly because Kody decided he wanted to uproot everyone yet again and move. The Brown clan moved from a Las Vegas cul-de-sac to the Arizona desert with little explanation from the family patriarch. Season 16 showed the Browns at odds over particular plots, housing placements, and even a lake. Some family members like Christine Brown wanted to move back to Utah, while others like Janelle Brown and Robyn Brown preferred to stay put. As Sister Wives viewers are aware, Kody has yet to decide what to do with the land that was purchased back in 2018.

At one point, Kody made his intentions clear that he wanted one giant house in which everyone could reside, but the wives wanted separate homes. Fans have become increasingly concerned with Kody's division of the land, with one Reddit thread calling him out. Since the Browns own 14 acres, it would make sense to split it evenly by five, which would leave them each with 2.8 acres. Fans agreed it would be the «most fair» way to go about it.
