To many, Kody Brown of Sister Wives comes across as a monster who could care less about his four wives, especially when they are upset. The father of 18 has fought many times to get his own way and usually wins. However, the rest of the family isn't given grace for their feelings when Kody is involved.
The 53-year-old TLC star sure has his hands full when it comes to dealing with his four spouses. Even though he has lost one wife, Christine Brown, when she decided to move back to Utah, Kody still has to navigate a minefield. The patriarch has often been attacked for his lack of maturity, especially since Kody can come across as very selfish to fans. Most of the time, Sister Wives viewers feel Kody does what he wants without a care in the world or a worry about how it will affect his remaining three wives.

There is no doubt that Kody loves to present himself as a stoic man who is unfazed but the emotions of the women around him. One example of Kody's lack of emotional depth is during the most recent Sister Wives tell-all, where Janelle got angry and dropped the F-bomb. The mother of six decided to take a moment away from the cameras, and the host suggested Kody go after Janelle. Instead, the patriarch yelled, «No.» Sadly, it wasn't the first time Kody refused to run after a wife to comfort her in a time of need.
During season 16, Christine started crying after a family meeting at Coyote Pass. Meri Brown decided to distract Christine by making her look at the mountains of Arizona while Kody just sat there like a bump on a log.
