We still don't know when the Silent Hill 2 remake is coming out, but as spotted by AestheticGamer on Twitter, the Steam page updated its release date from TBA (to be announced) to "Coming Soon" only last night.
"I've released several dozen small games on Steam & know Steam's inner workings pretty well," AestheticGamer said. "Steam sometimes does mass auto-updates to store pages, but this was an internal SH2 pushed update by whoever's in charge of the store page."

This could mean a couple of things. Either "Coming Soon" was added as a vague indicator on the Steam page—with no actual concrete date behind it—or whoever is in charge of the page added a release date, automatically triggering the "Coming Soon" update which is often used to cover up that information. Either way, Silent Hill 2 might be out sooner than we expected.
Another Twitter user in AestheticGamer's thread, RRiverence, noticed something similar back in January when the store API release date was changed to December 29, 2023. This isn't likely to be the actual release date, as late December is mostly used as a placeholder. Regardless, this could indicate a 2023 launch.
Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno did say back in March that Silent Hill 2's remake is "technically ready" and "close" to completion, but Konami is handling the release schedule and promotion. 2023 is looking more and more likely given Babieno's comments, the Coming Soon update to the Steam page, and that placeholder date.
However, it is important to note that Konami and Bloober Team have not announced a release date, so it could see internal delays or changed expectations if it is set to come out soon or at some point in 2023.
