A new trailer for Bloober Team’s Silent Hill 2 is now available, highlighting the immersion offered by the PlayStation 5. Much of that is due to the DualSense, with Haptic Feedback mimicking every impact with a melee weapon, and the Adaptive Triggers offering crunchy resistance with the shotgun. Check it out below.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a horror title without 3D audio support, which the Pulse 3D Wireless headphones assist with (though it’s also available on TV speakers and analog/USB stereo headphones). Perhaps the most helpful feature is the DualSense’s Lightbar, turning red if you’re low on health and green when healed.
Whether that’s unavailable when turning off the UI and activating the 90s filter is unknown. Of course, 4K resolution is also supported for those with the relevant display.
Silent Hill 2 remake launches on October 8th for PS5 and PC. The end of the trailer also notes that it’s a one-year exclusive, not launching for other platforms until October 8th, 2025. Check out the latest information on the title here.
