In case you weren't aware, Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened is getting the full remake treatment. Frogwares is taking its 2006 adventure title and giving it a big overhaul, including a substantial rewrite of the scenario as well as a significant visual upgrade. The latest trailer is available now, embedded above.
The game takes place early on in Homes and Watson's partnership, with a case that brings the detective to the brink of madness. The duo are unravelling a Lovecraftian mystery, but the remake will apparently focus more on their relationship and on Watson as a character than the original. He'll apparently have a «totally unique» storyline that'll flesh him out a little more, and he'll even be playable in certain sequences.
It sounds as though Frogwares has done much more than just spruce up its old game here, and we're intrigued to find out more when the remake launches for PS5 and PS4 on 11th April. Will you be playing Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened? Make your case in the comments section below.
