The ShadPS4 PlayStation 4 emulator is making incredible progress and is now capable of running a game at playable framerates that it could only boot a few days ago.
As seen in a new video shared by BrutalSam, the PlayStation 4 emulator can now run Red Dead Redemption Remastered at around 25 frames per second on a high-end system. While this may not seem very impressive, it actually is, considering that the emulator was only capable of launching the game a few days ago. With how quickly things are progressing, it wouldn't be surprising to see the game running at 30 FPS and above in the next couple of days.
While it is clear that there's still a lot of work left to be done, as the emulator is only capable of running decently simple 2D games, there's no denying that the ShadPS4 emulator is becoming more and more the PlayStation 4 emulator to follow. While it is only capable of launching Bloodborne as of now, the day it will be able to run the game and finally release it from the PlayStation 4 prison it is currently being held into may not be too far off in the future.
