One of the main complaints leading to 'Mixed' user reviews for Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is the expansion's supposed unbalance. As if to answer users' complaints, developer FromSoftware has released Calibration update 1.12.2, tweaking the scaling of Shadow Realm Blessings as detailed below.
Attack and damage negation curve scaling of the Shadow Realm Blessings have been revised.
The calibration update can be applied by logging into the multiplayer server.
If the Calibration Ver. listed at the bottom right of the title menu is not "1.12.2", then select LOGIN and apply the latest regulations before enjoying the game.
Granted, this is a relatively small change, and FromSoftware is fully aware of that. The patch notes for Calibration update 1.12.2 end with a mention of further balance changes and bug fixes coming in a future Shadow of the Erdtree update.
Additionally, the developers said there is a bug where sometimes loading a save from a previous version of Elden Ring will enable ray tracing on PC. Check your graphics settings to confirm whether it has been incorrectly enabled on your system.
