At the upcoming Xbox Developer_Direct, Microsoft is set to showcase several major upcoming first party releases, and while the reveal of MachineGames’ Indiana Jones title is likely going to grab plenty of headlines, there’s going to be no shortage of eyes on Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 either.
Last year, Microsoft confirmed that Ninja Theory’s long-anticipated action-adventure title would release sometime in 2024, and it seems like a release date is going to be announced at the upcoming Direct. That’s as per known Xbox insider eXtas1s, who has claimed in a report published on Exputer that Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 will release on May 21, and that its launch date is going to be announced at the imminent event.
Many would have assumed that Hellblade 2 will release in the later months of the year – something that Microsoft itself had seemingly previously suggested – so a May release is sure to be a pleasant surprise for Xbox users. And if Bethesda’s Indiana Jones title is indeed launching this year as leaks have claimed, an earlier release for Hellblade 2 could spell great things for Xbox’s lineup of first party exclusives this year.
The Xbox Developer_Direct presentation is scheduled for January 18, 12 PM PT, so we’ll know for sure soon enough. Stay tuned for more updates.
