SDCC: Marvel Reveals 11 Movies And Shows That Make Up MCU Phase 5

Marvel returned to Comic-Con's infamous Hall H for the first time in three years to reveal what's next for the MCU. Kevin Feige took the stage at 5pm PT Saturday night to announce the end of Phase 4 and the entire roadmap for Phase 5, which starts in February with Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania.

After a short montage to honor the legacy of Stan Lee and an introduction by Miss Minutes to kick off "The Comic-Con panel at the end of time", MCU boss Kevin Feige took the stage and officially revealed that Phase Four is coming to an end with Black Panther: War for Wakanda, which is scheduled to premiere November 11, 2022. That leaves just She-Hulk and Black Panther as the final MCU projects before the start of the next phase.

Moments later, the packed Hall erupted with excitement at the reveal of the Phase 5 roadmap, which officially starts February 17, 2023 with the release of Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania. In total, there will be 11 projects that makeup Phase 5, which ends July 26, 2024 with the previously unannounced big screen adaptation of Thunderbolts, one of Marvel's most beloved antihero teams that first came into prominence in the '90s.

Phase 5 will include both films and television series for Disney+. After Quantumania in February, fans can look forward to a Secret Invasion series on the streaming service in the spring. After that, Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 releases May 5, 2023, followed by a series based on Echo in the summer.
