The upcoming release of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is hotly anticipated among fans of the franchise, so we spoke to Piccolo's Japanese voice actor Toshio Furukawa at this year's Comic-Con.

To celebrate the film's upcoming English release, Screen Rant sat down with Piccolo's Japanese voice actor, Toshio Furukawa at Comic-Con to ask him about his impressive career and what it means for Piccolo to get the spotlight in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero.
You've been playing Piccolo for so many years. After all that time how would you say your performance and understanding of the character has evolved?
Toshio Furukawa: Having played the role of Piccolo for such a long time, I think I've built a very deep understanding of the character himself, so it's become easier and easier. It was much more of a challenge in the beginning, of course.
What is the most heartwarming interaction you've had with a fan of the series?
Toshio Furukawa: Most recently with Super Hero, I have a lot of fans that mentioned, how they've seen the movie so many times. One person said «I saw it 22 times and once I saw it, I just kept going back.» You know, they would say this is
