The closer we reach to the Apple ‘Far Out' event, the more rumors and leaks about the upcoming iPhone 14 series are surfacing. And while most of these are confirmatory reveals, which backs up what we already knew about the devices, one leak has been very unexpected. Yesterday, August 30, a new leak showcased something that nobody saw coming. An alleged packaging of the iPhone 14 Pro surfaced online which displayed details about the smartphone as well. Interestingly, the display has a single pill-shaped notch with the camera and the FaceID resting within it. This is entirely different to the rumors of a separate pill and a hole cutout we have been hearing so far.
The leaked images have been shared by a user called ShrimpApplePro on Twitter. He tweeted images of the alleged packaging along with the caption that said, “iPhone 14 Pro seal. According to them, this is the display's design. All 6GB of ram, pro iPhone have a white box”. He also linked the original post which was shared on the Chinese social media app Weibo. Even as the image has shocked many, the validity of it cannot be verified at the moment.
The box also mentions the text “iPhone 14 Pro, Designed by Apple in California, Assembled in China” which is usually what is mentioned in the box. Another claim the packaging makes is that all the models in the iPhone 14 series will have 6GB of RAM, something Ming-Chi Kuo has claimed in the past. Box reveals are also not unheard of and in the last two years, we have seen the glimpse of the smartphone before its launch event.
