Deep Silver and Volition recently gave fans an in-depth look into Saints Row’s customization options, including how someone customizes their character, their empire, their rides, and their weapons. Character customization looks really deep, as players can make characters that don’t even appear human whatsoever, and luckily players will be able to get their hands on that Saints Row Boss character creator ahead of launch.
Vehicles look equally impressive and as deep as a racing game—if in a completely different direction as normal. Game Rant recently viewed a presentation on all of these customization options, and while Saints Row’s weapons didn’t get as much attention as others, there was still plenty to take in.
New Saints Row Game is Likely to Have a Big Summer
Appearance-wise, players can go deep into their weapons. Every single visual aspect of it, all the way down to its smallest parts, are customizable. Even if players don’t want to fine-tune or tweak their weapons in Saints Row, there are plenty of decals and styles they can choose from depending on their aesthetic. Perhaps the most impressive component, however, is the visual mods.
These visual mods completely change the weapon. They don’t paint a weapon; they fundamentally change it. Two examples shown include turning an assault rifle into an umbrella and a rocket launcher into a guitar case. The past two Saints Row games have had wacky combat, but these weapons have the potential to take that to the next level as far as weapons are concerned.
