Nvidia's entry-level GeForce GTX 1630 graphics card is reportedly set to be launched on May 31. Nvidia has had a tough time competing with AMD in the entry-level GPU market, and the company will be hoping that its upcoming offering will help it gain a foothold in the segment. AMD not only has a number of value-oriented affordable discrete graphics cards, such as the Radeon RX 6400 and 6500 XT, it also offers a slew of APUs that include fairly decent integrated graphics for casual gaming.
On the other hand, Nvidia is relatively more dominant at the top-end of the spectrum, where the company's RTX 3090 and RTX 3080 are among the best gaming graphics cards that money can buy. The company also launched the top-of-the-line RTX 3090 Ti in March after initially announcing it at CES 2022 in January. The card is based on Nvidia's Ampere architecture and the Founders Edition model has an asking price of $1,999, making it a niche product even for serious gamers.

According to a new report from VideoCardz, Nvidia is looking to revive the GTX branding by launching the GTX 1630 on May 31. The full spec sheet of the upcoming graphics card was also published, revealing that it features a TU117-150 GPU and 4GB of GDDR6 VRAM clocked at 12 Gbps. The report further claims that the card will ship with 512 CUDA cores and feature a 64-bit memory bus (96 GB/s total bandwidth), both of which are exactly half of what the full TU117-300 GPU offers. Other specifications include a 75W TDP and a 1800MHz boost clock. While the power draw remains the same as that of the GTX 1650, the boost clock sees a minor bump from the 1590MHz of the older card.
