This Sunday, AEW will put on their fourth Double or Nothing pay-per-view. The annual event will feature 4 championship defenses, as both Women's Championships and the World Championship will be on the line. As of the current card, the only championship that will not be on the line is the TNT Championship, which is currently held by Scorpio Sky who is in his second reign as champion.
In 2019, AEW held its first Double or Nothing event in Paradise, Nevada, the location for this year's event. For the past two years, AEW's Double or Nothing events have been held from their home base in Jacksonville, Florida due to troubles related to COVID-19. Aside from its championship matches, this year's Double or Nothing event will also include the crowning of the inaugural winners of the men's and women's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.

This tag team match is set to take place on the AEW Buy-In show that will take place prior to Double or Nothing's official start time. After several weeks of trying to understand one another, HOOK and Danhausen put their differences aside to team together with the hopes of putting an end to Nese and Sterling's antics. This will be both team's tag team debuts. HOOK is currently undefeated in AEW, and looks to continue his streak this Sunday in his second AEW pay-per-view appearance.
On the January 21, 2022, episode of Rampage, Cargill defeated Jay to retain the TBS Championship and enhance her undefeated record to 25-0. Jade is now 31-0 and looks to keep her record and championship intact. Since then, Jay has teamed with various women on the roster including Ruby Soho, Kris Statlander, Yuka Sakazaki, and has expressed how much she has learned by doing so. Cargill
