Just Add Water has hired ex-Rockstar developer Ben Hinchliffe (pictured, right).
The Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 alum has come on board in a "leading design role" alongside junior designer Nadine Rendell-Green (pictured, far right), who has recently completed a degree in Game and Interactive Media Design and Staffordshire University.
This comes ahead of Just Add Water moving into its new headquarters in Leeds in July.
“The new office space and talent like Ben and Nadine add to the renewed energy we are all feeling at Just Add Water,” the studio's director Bec Gilray said.
“The past few months have been unbelievably hard, but Stew would not have wanted the studio to stall. Thanks to the ever-supportive and resourceful people at Just Add Water and our senior team, Joel Benton and Viktorya Hollings, along with studio management from Les Ellis, who has kept everything together during our hardest times, we now have the drive and energy to take the studio to even greater heights."
In March of this year, Just Add Water made a number of high profile appointments, including a biz dev chief, COO and director. This came in the wake of founder Stewart Gilray passing away in January 2022 after contracting COVID-19.
