A brief glimpse at Robin embracing the power of the Red Lanterns teased a potential story for Damian Wayne that absolutely deserves to be told. When Batgirl was under the influence of a plant that once enthralled Superman, she saw a hypothetical adventure that just begs to be explored.
Damian has a reputation for being one of the more emotionally driven Robins and for good reason. For the majority of his life, he was raised by his mother, Talia al Ghul's League of Assassins. The stresses of such lethal training on a young mind left Damian with a warped perspective when he finally left her side and joined his father's more noble mission. As Robin, one of the biggest things he had to overcome in order to grow as a hero was to stop acting on impulse and use better judgement, not to mention stop killing the enemies unfortunate enough to cross his path.

It seems that Damian's emotional side may have gotten the better of him in an imagined future dreamed up by Stephanie Brown in Batgirl #24 by Bryan Q. Miller and Pere Pérez. After discovering that her villainous father has been growing a Black Mercy plant, Brown is subjected to a powdered version that Cluemaster blows into her face. Batgirl survives the experience, but a curious Barbara Gordon wants to know what Stephanie saw. Multiple visions of Batgirl are shown, each teasing a potential story like Batgirl taking on the Royal Flush Gang. One notable vision shows Batgirl, Oracle and Robin taking on a swarm of Black Lanterns.
