How much did Pawn Stars' Rick Harrison pay for an original copy of the Declaration of Independence? History's Pawn Stars focuses on the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas, which is run by the Harrison clan. The show was greenlit by the network as a way to add some variety to its programming, but it's likely its success took even them by surprise. Pawn Stars has run for over 20 seasons since it debuted in 2009, and received many spin-offs, including American Restoration, Counting Cars and international takes on the format like Pawn Stars UK.
Pawn Stars makes for surprisingly addictive viewing, which is also aided by the Harrisons as hosts, with history buff Rick having a talent for spotting worthy investments when they come into his shop. Some truly fascinating and bizarre items have passed through Pawn Stars — which has many rules for sellers — over the years, from original Where The Wild Things Are artwork to a bronze statue of O.J. Simpson — previously owned by rapper Flavor Flav — and a One-Man Submarine.
