TeamKill Media’s cosmic horror shooter Quantum Error has been in the works for a while, and though we still don’t yet have any concrete information on when exactly it will launch, it has, at least, hit a major milestone behind-the-scenes that brings it closer than ever to its release.
Taking recently to Twitter, TeamKill Media announced that Quantum Error has gone gold. That means the game’s master copy is now ready, with principal development having wrapped up, and any and all polishing done on it from this point forward it likely to arrive in the form of pre-launch or day one patches.
Interestingly, we still don’t know when exactly the game will launch. TeamKill Media has stressed time and again that it’s aiming for a 2023 release, but the developer has yet to confirm a specific release date.
Upon launch, Quantum Error will be available only on PS5. PC and Xbox Series X/S versions are also in the works, with TeamKill Media having said that Xbox’s “slower” SSD as compared to PS5 is why it isn’t getting a simultaneous launch. A PS4 version was also previously planned, but recently got cancelled.
