Headle seems to be clogging up our Twitter feeds much more than Worlde these days. Rather than be brought together over whatever daft word the New York Times expects us to know, we're now flexing out music knowledge. But of course, as we've come to expect from any successful Wordle spin-off, even that spawns its own games.
Sonic Heardle is the latest to jump on the bandwagon, putting fans of the blue blur to the test. And even if you reckon you're the biggest fan out there, ready and willing to embarrass yourself at a Crush 40 concert, it's no easy feat at all. The creator has really dug around Sonic's vast catalogue of tracks, featuring pieces you may not have even heard before.

Sonic Heardle has only been out for a couple of days, but it's not pulling its punches. I'll give you a clue for today's pick: you probably haven't played the game it's from. But you'll be able to guess as much as soon as you hear the first two seconds of it. Hell, I actually own the game, and I couldn't get it.
"Each Sonic Heardle is randomly chosen from one of several songs from the franchise", reads the game's description. "Mostly the games with a few from adaptations (like the OVA or SatAM) thrown in as well." In other words, you're really going to have to cast your mind back for some of these. I don't think many of us have watched the cartoons recently.
Just like all the Wordle-esque games, it resets every 24 hours. Fingers crossed, the third one will be a little kinder on the ego. And if you're looking for something to do in the meantime, you can always check out the official Sonic Roblox game we covered the other day.
