The official YouTube channel for PUBG Mobile has announced a new partnership with Pinkfong, introducing a host of new in-game content alongside a PUBG-inspired take on Pinkfong's viral Baby Shark song. This isn't the first time PUBG Mobile has collaborated with other companies for new skins and items, having previously worked not only with Pinkfong, but also recently teaming up with Marvel for a Spider-Man PUBG event.
PUBG Mobile's competitive gameplay, coupled with its variety of weapons and game modes, means it may not be the first game players might associate with Baby Shark, but the previous collaboration between publisher Tencent and Baby Shark's Pinkfong seemed to be a success when it launched in October 2021. PUBG Mobile offered Baby Shark tokens which players could use to acquire a range of themed in-game items, including a Baby Shark emote, outfit, a Baby Shark frying pan skin, and of course, the infamous Baby Shark music. The collaboration was initially deemed to be an odd choice for PUBG, but with PUBG Mobile reaching over a billion downloads last year, it's easy to see why big-name brands would want to partner with the shooter.
