A limited quantity of PS5 bundles will go on sale today, January 27, at GameStop for select members of its PowerUp Rewards program. The Sony-branded console has remained in scarce supply since it hit the market in November 2020, though Microsoft's latest gaming hardware proves similarly difficult to find on store shelves, and some analysts predict PS5 will outsell Xbox 2-to-1 in 2022. However, whether or not prospective customers will have an easier time getting their hands on either of the consoles this year remains to be seen.

As reported by The Shortcut, today, January 27, GameStop will restock a limited number of PS5 bundles, available to purchase exclusively for the retailer's PowerUp Rewards members. According to the publication's retail sources, the bundle will come packed with a PS5 disc console, Call of Duty: Vanguard, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, a Cosmic Red DualSense controller, and a GameStop gift card worth $50. Allegedly priced at $734.96, this particular offer will only be purchasable in stores when shops open locally. Users can check the GameStop store locator to see which retailer near them plans on participating in what's being called the "PS5 In-Store Event."
Interestingly, The Shortcut's Matt Swider received an image from a Twitter follower that shows a GameStop in New York will only have 10 of the PS5 bundles available. It's unclear if all participating storefronts will play host to a similarly limited stock of the supply-constrained PlayStation hardware. As such, PowerUp Rewards Pro members who can appear at the in-store event would do well to arrive as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
