The next batch of games coming to Sony’s premium subscription services, PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium, have been revealed.
Arriving on 20th February next week, Sony’s got a bunch of big hitters in this collection. The biggest of the bunch is going to be Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, in which you can lose yourself for months, if not longer. And if that huge RPG wasn’t big enough for you, then there’s also Tales of Arise and Tales of Zestiria to sink your teeth into. Meanwhile, lapsed Need for Speed fans might be curious to check out NfS unbound, the most recent game in the series.
If you’ve got PS Plus Premium and the Classics game library, then there’s the PSP shooter Resistance: Retribution that you can blow up on the big screen, and even more Tales games! This time it’s Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Vesperia.
While the game catalogue and classic library are exclusively for Extra and Premium subscribers, all PS Plus subscribers still have access to a trio of monthly games. For February 2024, there’s the 4v4 multiplayer foam party of Foamstars, the killer retro futuristic sports of Rollerdrome, and the French Revolution action of Steelrising. Head here for all the details.
The PlayStation Plus relaunch rolled out around the world in June 2022, transforming the PS Plus we once knew into a three tiered subscription service that bundles in and expands what was once PlayStation Now. The classic PS Plus is now called PS Plus Essential, giving access to online multiplayer gaming, cloud save backups, exclusive offers and at least 2 free monthly games. PS Plus Extra then adds a catalogue of PS4 and PS5 games into the mix, while PS Plus Deluxe and Premium (depending on your region) adds older PS2, PS1 and PSP game emulation, and game streaming for PS3 and other titles.
