The Nintendo Switch is nearing the end of its lifecycle, but there are still a few loose ends to tie up before we find out what Nintendo has in store for us next. Princess Peach Showtime next week, a Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door remake in May, and then a Luigi's Mansion 2 remaster in June. Pre-orders for that last one are now open, revealing that Luigi fans will have a second chance to get their hands on a diorama that money previously couldn't buy.
The UK branch of the My Nintendo Store has Luigi's Mansion 2 HD bundles available to pre-order, and one of them includes a diorama that was previously a Club Nintendo exclusive so could only be bought with points. The diorama shows a terrified Luigi, Poltergust 5000 in hand but pointed in the wrong direction as the ghost he's looking for is behind him. Polterpup is also present, and the torch next to the ghost dog is lighting up the wall behind them.
The diorama included with the Luigi's Mansion 2 HD bundle appears to be almost identical with one, somewhat significant difference. The ghost behind Luigi is yellow instead of green. An interesting change to make, and as some have pointed out, the spirit now looks a little bit like it's made of pee. If that tiny detail doesn't put you off, you can buy the bundle which includes the diorama, a copy of Luigi's Mansion 2 HD, a mug, and a wobbly Luigi figurine for £68.99 ($89).
The big downside to this diorama's return, for the time being at least, is it appears to be a UK exclusive. The ghost's color change suggests this is a case of Nintendo making more rather than having leftover stock, so it's unclear why the bundle is currently not available in the US. Luigi's Mansion 2 HD pre-order options haven't been fully rolled out yet, so hopefully it's just a case of the US store not being updated yet and bundles are coming soon.
Nintendo's UK site also has a cheaper bundle which includes the game and the wobbly Luigi figurine, and is also advertising a free Polterpup
