February is coming to a close, which means it’s about time for Sony to reveal the free games coming to PlayStation Plus Essential in March. Leaker billbil-kun, known for correctly reporting the titles before their official announcement, has revealed on Dealabs that Sloclap’s Sifu is in the line-up.
Launched in February 2022 for PS4, PS5 and PC before coming to Nintendo Switch in November and then Xbox platforms in March 2023, Sifu is about a martial arts student seeking revenge for their master’s death. Armed with a medallion that resurrects them with each death, granting power but permanently aging them, players embark on a quest to take out five masters.
Sifu garnered acclaim for its aesthetic and combat, selling three million copies. Check out our review for more details. The Standard Edition will reportedly be available from March 5th to April 2nd for PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers (meaning Extra and Premium tiers can also claim it). The other titles are still a mystery, so stay tuned for the official announcement from Sony.
