Project Moon has compensated fans for Limbus Company’s rough launch by giving away 20 more free pulls. The developer has also nerfed the stage 2-18 after many fans complained the level was too difficult.
Limbus Company’s rough launch day was plagued with maintenance issues and bugs, as well as poor performance on Android devices. As stated earlier, the studio has made an effort to compensate it’s fanbase with free pulls, but is this enough to save the game?
The PC version seems to be running fine, but lots of Android gamers have reportedly been struggling to achieve stable framerates in the game, despite having capable specs.
A Reddit post under r/gachagaming discussing the game’s updates has spawned an ongoing conversation in the comments. A lot of the talk surrounded the game’s performance on Android devices.
One user, @auuauuauu, writes “The game still has very shitty optimization on Android devices. The graphics do not justify the minimum requirement of Snapdragon 765. Even with that and setting the graphics to low, I got 12-15 fps max during combat sequences. Literally unplayable.”
What’s most concerning is how poorly the game seems to be running on the users specs, as the Snapdragon 765 should be capable of running a side-scrolling RPG, despite it being a little older than the current generation of Snapdragon.
Another user, @InvestigatorOne2932, writes “My phone can run Genshin with stable fps, but dang! Limbus is laggy as hell, they need to optimize more.”
It’s interesting to see that a game such as Genshin Impact, which is notable for it’s 3D graphics and expansive world, is running smoother on the user’s phone than Limbus Company.
