Do you love Magic: The Gathering? Do you love world-famous rapper Post Malone? If so, I am about to make your day. The world-famous rapper is hosting a Magic: The Gathering tournament where one lucky winner will face off against him for the chance at $100,000.
Posty has teamed up with Whatnot to offer this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to Magic players. On August 4, the Grammy-nominated artist will select one winner from the entries during a Whatnot Livestream. The chosen party will have the opportunity to face off against the avid Magic player on August 11.

However, you don't need to be an expert Magic: The Gathering player to enter this contest. If you have never played the tabletop card game you can still be chosen and be in with a decent chance at beating Malone. This is because Whatnot will give the winner the chance to train with Magic expert and Hall of Famer Reid Duke. Those not chosen to participate can watch it all go down in a Whatnot Livestream narrated by Josh and Jimmy of The Command Zone.
It would be wise for the lucky winner to take Whatnot up on the offer to get some extra help from Reid Duke. In case you didn’t know, Post Malone is quite the fan of Magic: The Gathering. Not only did he recently purchase the most expensive Magic card ever (a Black Lotus for a cool $800,000), but he also entered a partnership with the company this year to reboot Friday Night Magic. Plus, he previously appeared on an episode of Game Knights where he showed off his card skills.
Now, fans can hope to see that passion up close and personal, and possibly take home some cold hard cash.
