You know the famous Pokémon Trading Card Game, right? Well, I have a piece of good news about it. It’s going digital and will be available on your mobile soon! Called Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, this game will bring the fun Pokémon cards to Android by the end of this year.
Pokémon Trading Card Game dropped back in October 1996 in Japan. It’s a bunch of cards that let you battle it out with different Pokémon. Each mon comes with its own moves and abilities. After it started in Japan, it was released globally and got super popular.
The game’s got cards for days, with different movesets. When it was launched in Japan, it kicked off with hundreds of cards to collect. As the game took off and went global, this number grew to thousands!
Now, in Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, you’ll get to tap and swipe through virtual booster packs. These packs will be a mix of old-school illustrations that you might recognize alongside brand-new ones that are exclusive to the mobile game.
The cards in Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket are immersive cards. They pull you right into the scene illustrated on the card. So, it’s like you’re hanging out with your favourite Pokémon. The game will be handing out two booster packs a day to everyone for free. The rules have been simplified a bit, too. Take a peek at the game below!
Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket will be free to play. The game is a joint effort from Creatures Inc. and DeNA. Creatures are the folks behind the Pokémon TCG from the start. The latter put their heads together with Creatures before to make Pokémon Masters EX.
