Gastly is already one of the creepiest Pokémon around, and a new TikTok video demonstrates just how scary the ghost creature would look in live-action. Players were first introduced to Gastly as part of a trio of Ghost Pokémon that dwelled within Lavender Town's haunted Pokémon Tower in the original Pokémon Red & Blue back in 1996, and although there have been plenty of other (and far more frightening) Ghost Pokémon since then, Gastly, Haunter, and Gengar are well remembered for being the first spooky specters in the otherwise lighthearted Pokémon franchise.
As such, fans have created plenty of art surrounding the Gastly-Haunter-Gengar line, from creepy clay sculptures of Gengar emerging from its own Pokémon trading card like a demon being summoned from one’s darkest nightmare to surprisingly well-crafted 3D latte art. One sculptor in particular reimagined the ghostly Pokémon trio in an unsettling photorealistic style, demonstrating just how nightmarish Gastly, Haunter, and Gengar would be in real life. While Gengar did make a live-action appearance in 2019's Detective Pikachu movie, Gastly and Haunter were absent — leaving some to wonder just what these lovable ghouls would look like in a more life-like medium.
