For some reason, it is the only type not associated with a specialist trainer, meaning it probably doesn't feature heavily in the games. Now, it could be that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's champion focuses on Rock types, though that is unlikely, or it could be that the Treasure Hunt storyline just so happens to feature a bunch of Rock Types (as it revealed Klawf), but it remains to be seen.
