Star Pieces are incredibly valuable to the people of Pokémon Legends: Arceus. In most Pokémon games, money has never really been an issue for players. It's common to get through the entire game without having to worry about funds even a little bit. Although, that's not the case with Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Money is used to purchase more items from the shop like Pokéballs and Potions. Since Pokémon Legends: Arceus has such a heavy emphasis on capturing as many Pokémon as possible, it would benefit the player to have a lot of cash to buy more. That's where Star Pieces come in.
Star Pieces can be sold to vendors for 5,000 Poké Dollars each, making them heavily sought after by players. Although, the player will need to collect the correct materials to craft for them. After clearing out the tutorial mission, trainers can start creating Pokéballs using Apricorns and Tumblestone they discover on their journey. More materials will become available as the player progresses through the story. In order to get Star Pieces, trainers will need to wait until they have access to Space-Time Distortions.

Space-Time Distortions will be available after completing the eighth mainline story mission in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Arezu's Predicament. The player will be notified that Space-Time Distortions have begun to appear around the map. They are these giant purple bubbles with rare Pokémon on the inside. Although, where they choose to spawn is completely random. Not only do rare Pokémon appear inside of these bubbles, but the materials needed to craft Star Pieces can be found within. Trainers will need to craft them using the correct materials.
