Warning: contains preview pages for Justice League Incarnate #5!
There’s a new Dynamic Duo in DC Comics: the new Flash and Doctor Multiverse. These comrades in arms, both members of the Justice League Incarnate, prove themselves in combat against the Great Darkness in a preview for Justice League Incarnate #5; the pair work together like a well-oiled machine, establishing them as DC’s new duo to beat. The issue is on sale in print and digital March 1st.
The Justice League Incarnate, DC’s multiverse spanning Justice League, has been pursuing Darkseid across the multiverse, bent on revenge after the Lord of Apokolips handed them their first defeat. Darkseid himself has been seeking the Great Darkness; the Justice League Incarnate believed Darkseid’s pursuit was selfish, but this turned out to be not entirely true—Darkseid wanted to stop it too. In issue four of Justice League Incarnate, the team traveled to Earth-7, only for them to fall under the sway of the Great Darkness, forcing Darkseid to kill the Flashpoint Batman. President Superman, the Flash, Captain Carrot and Doctor Multiverse were the only members not to be corrupted. In a preview for issue 5, they must find a way to free their teammates and escape Earth-7 before the Empty Hand kills them and Darkseid. The issue is written by Joshua Williamson and Dennis Culver, illustrated by Andrei Bressan and Jesús Merino, colored by Hi-Fi and lettered by Tom Napolitano.
